I havent heard much about then but i found a guy im meeting tomorrow that has one that needs a little cleaning up, he said $30 because he doesnt hunt or collect, he found it cleaning a house.   Good deal as long as its not unsalvageable??  i dont know much about them yet but im going to pick it up tomorrow and see what its like and refinish it.   any information on these shotguns would be great

not sure which model yur looking at, i have a champion single shot break open, its a pretty well made gun. i keep it over the garage door loaded with no. 2's for skunks and armadillos. id gladly give 30 buks for another one.just make sure the forearm is tite and the action locks up tite when closed. should make a nice rabbit gun.

sorry i didnt update after i picked the gun up, it is a champion, it didnt have the forearm but it looked really really nice so i couldnt pass it up, the stock was already smoothed, just needed to be stained.  The bore looked great, a little touch of roughness but we will see once its shot how it cleans up, the barrel is good except for about 3 inches down from the tip of the barrel has some pitting.  Ok for now but if it becomes a problem i will cut it down, it is a 28 inch barrel.  All together 30 for the gun and 30 for the forearm that is on its way here

when i get a shotgun like your talking about i like to clean it thoroughly, i wrap some steel wool around a 12 ga brush , put it on a shotgun rod and chuck it in my dewalt drill and run it up and down the bore for awhile. yu can add abrasives or oil as yu see fit to polish the bore. pattern it before yu go to choppin on the barrel. yu chop it and yu end up with no choke. that can effect patterns much worse than a tad of pitting. let us know what yu find out and what yu do.
