Tikka Battue...Any experiences, comments?
« on: November 14, 2009, 03:40:52 PM »
Saw the Tikka Battue on the Tikka site and was very impressed. It's a short barreled Tikka  with iron sights, and it comes in 8x57.  Anyone have any experience?  Anyone know the price or where one can be purchased?  I've had no luck finding any listed  on line.

Yes
If you look at the  tikka lite  on the web you will see the new Battue .  In 8x57 ??? See them in 308, 3006, 7MM and 300WSM/300WM  in these parts where Tikka's are sold .
Ask At a Dealer
They are fine guns , with the only problem I had with the 3006 was that the anchor screw  worked loose from time to time and impact then would be high .
I had it set up with quick take off weaver mounts , so I could hunt with the sites or scope .
Only other thing to suggest is a limbsaver pad . the reciol felt on these light guns is felt .
For a fast Eastern Bush Gun ? Yup !!! with that 20" barrel - great for Doggin'
