I spoke with Jennifer in CS at H&R today.  She told me the layoffs are scheduled to start in June and that shut down target is September.  Currently, they are still producing firearms.

Just thought I would pass that along.

Future of H&R repair and Barrel program.
« Reply #3 on: April 23, 2008, 03:38:53 AM »
I just called H&R with concern because I have to wait 3 weeks to ship my BC back for repair since my parents will not be home to receive it.

the nice lady in the phone told me not to worry about it.  She said the repair operation and the barrel program is only moving to NY.  At some point there will be a new shipping address posted on the website.  she continued to say that the first layoffs are not scheduled until June so I don't need to be in that big of a hurry.
