Mounting red dot/scope on ventilated rib shotgun???

I have an uncle who is an avid turkey hunter. He and his wife shoot Remington 11-87's with ventilated ribs. So far, they've been very successful with this shotgun but my uncle has expressed a desire to mount either a red dot sight or a low powered scope on both their guns. He doesn't want to have to buy two new barrels and he does like using them for upland game in the fall and winter. The question is this? How does my uncle mount either a red dot sight OR a scope on a ventilated rib barreled shotgun? If you could list necessary info (mounts, bases, etc.) it would be greatly appreciated!

Millet makes a mount specifically for Remington vent rib shotguns.  Midway has them.  Either look them up at Midway or Millet.  You mount either a 1" Red Dot or a 1" pistol scope directly on the rib.  They work very well, I have been using a Red Dot with them on my 870 12 Ga. for years for both deer and turkey.  You don't need a high comb stock with these, the standard stock works well since the sight is so low over the barrel.  The only problem is that they will mark the rib since they use set screws to attach to the rib.

Another choice is the saddle mount for the receiver, but I like the rib mount better.
