Expierences with survivor stocks

I would like to hear of others experiences with the survivor stock,especially with different barrels,before I spend the money on one.

I put one on an ultra lite .243.I didn't particularly like it because it made even that light rifle front heavy.

Curt,
I have the survivor set-up and use it with my .223 UV 24" bull barrel, 30-06 standard contour 22" and also a 24" 12ga. 3 1/2" magnum turkey barrel and really like it. For me, the recoil with the '06 and 12ga. isn't bad at all. The storage in the stock and forearm comes in handy also.

I like mine. The only thing I didnt like was even with the lowest rings I could find the comb of the stock was to low. So I raised it up with some foam to get the correct eye relief.

I have the .308 survivor and I love it. I use it while in the woods/coyote hunting/target shooting. The only complaint that I have is that my shoulder will get a little sore after long amounts of range time. It is great for all around use.

I have a couple and did not like them at first. Then I shot them and carried them in the woods, now I really like them. The one on my .22Mag Sportster coyote gun which alternately wears a Red Dot or a scope is one of my favorite guns to carry....<><....:)

Called NEF and they said it was $48.00 plus 5.50 S&H.But I forgot to ask if the forend would fit my standard 45-70 barrel.

I have a .308 survivor and love it.  The grip works great for shooting prone or off the bench.  Off hand too.  I put a limb-saver slip on recoil pad on mine and you can shoot it all day and your shoulder is none the wiser.  The compartment in the stock is great for storing extra hand warmers for use on those chilly day hunts.
