Dahlgren's proof.

My brother and I took my new Dahlgren I bought from Dom out for a "proof" firing. I had made a deck mock-up that gave me a way to properly breach the cannon against recoil, with rope, and keep it up out of the sand.  In the videos, we worked up in the size of the load until I found a good, substantial and safe load for the little guy.

I hope you enjoy the videos as much as we enjoyed shooting.  The loads showed being fired are golf ball.  I will have a lead ball mould made soon.  JeffG

 I was being cautious.  I really had no idea how things were going to go or how much recoil there was going to be. After we set the load we fired quite a few rounds, but my camera was out of memory to take clips.

 That's one I might have to get. It would go good with my Dom GB Dictator.

 One note from the safety peanut gallery - Good idea to stand clear of the vent when lighting the fuse.
