Cut Bait victims
« on: July 25, 2003, 07:20:23 AM »
Here's a few more photos from last mothers day.  All these cats were captured with rod and reel, and they were all caught on pieces of fresh cut shad.  Our luck has more to do with being in the right place at height of the pre-spawn, than fishing prowess, but that is what drives you. The desire to learn enough about your sport to succeed consistently.  My goal is to be able to catch fish like these every time out.

good luck this weekend

lets hear some more of your fishing reports

Every time i even get near the mouth i get bit.  Last time i caught that small one the hook was halfway in his mouth and i though "Oh, since he's so small it won't hurt if he bites me." WRONG, that little sh1t made me bleed!!!!

You got to thumb em like a bass. What are you some kind of sissy? Thats one way you can if a guys is a real catman. Look at his thumbs, are they shredded and scabbed over or are they all neat and pretty? Seriously if  you look close you will see that I'm wearing a leather glove in most of the photos.  Every time I try to release one of those big cats they clamp down on my thumb and twist for a few seconds before they swim off. Thats where you really get your thumb tore up.

The shredded badge of Courage

good Bass fishermen have it on the fingerprint side of their thumb and good catmen have it on the fingernail side of their thumb. Then theres guys like me. Both of my thumbs are shredded on each side. I'll have to learn how to start landing fish with my monkey toes.
