Firelapping 357 levergun
« on: April 30, 2008, 04:50:46 PM »
I have a new 24" barrel Marlin CB.  I want to firelapp it with your stuff.  Any recommendations for doing it to a rifle.  I have done a lot of pistols and revolvers, but have never done it to a rifle.  I would expect that maybe I should do it with magnum cases and probably about 3 grains of Bulleye since it is a 24" barrel.  Am I on the right track?

Thanks,

Crabo

Very close.  Try it, it is certainly safe.  If you get any traces of leading cut the charge back.  If you stick a bullet in the barrel, remove it per the lap instructions and increase the charge a bit till they exit with visible flight.
