I am wondering the percentage of people that broke bones before they were 18 years old. Dale

Yup, left arm just above the elbow, Dad had done some bulldozing in the canyon behind our home, steep inclines and soft dirt was too inviting, my brother and I were diving into the dirt superman style ::), I did it one too many times, spend two days in the hospital and had my first surgery, still vividly remember counting backwards and the cloth basket over my nose and mouth and ether smell or whatever they used 50yrs ago!!

What if a person broke several bones, at different times, doing different things?  Can I vote more than once?

Yes.  Four times  :-[

1st:  It was the left wrist when I was about 10 yrs old.  While swinging on the playground set at the local park we would get high then twist the swing, crossing the support chains, then let it unwind.  On one occasion, I spun myself out of the swing.

2nd:  I was 17.  My friends and I made a rope swing that swung out over a large culvert in the woods.  We had a section of a round pole (I think it was a piece  of shovel handle) that we held onto while swinging.  One day my hands slipped and down I came.  The Fire Department said I was lucky that I only broke my arm.  They estimate I was about fifteen feet in the air.  I landed on my back with my right arm between me and the ground.  I heard the bones snap.  Broke both of them.  Even after local anesthesia, it took my father and two orderlies to keep me still while the doctor re-set my arm.

3rd & 4th:  When I was about 4 yrs old my left hand got crushed in the refrigerator door latch while I was holding a glass.  My middle finger was nearly severed.  The repairs left me with a slightly crooked finger that will not bend above the middle knuckle.  Because of this, I had it broken twice while playing basketball.  When I would receive a pass, my finger would not bend and the ball would either break it at the middle knuckle or jam it back into my hand.  Needless to say, I'm not a big fan of b-ball.

There has been a couple after 18 yrs old, as well.

Yep, a few of them,

5 years old jumping off the top of my uncles car. Broke my wrist in 3 places.
9 years old 3 fingers when I had a large table fall on my hand.
12 years old learning to shoot a Garrand, broke my left thumb in 3 places.
16 or 17 forget when, broke an ankle in motorcycle wreck.

Then after that.... a few more.

Busted an ankle, a finger, and if your nose counts, broke that too, all at different times.  Two brothers, one never broke anything, the other broke his arm and his leg at different times.
Grew up in the country with animals, ponies, horses, beef steers, etc....lots of things in the barns to hurt you or worse.  Got thrown, stepped on, knocked over, rammed into walls, you name it, surprised I didn't break my neck.  Good times!

Nope, never. Mom always fed us lots of milk.

Got some connective tissue damage though, from years of heavy construction.
Aw heck, all the motorcycle wrecks I had when I was a kid probably didn't help.

oooh my knee...

I was in martial arts and played softball, basketball, and was a cheerleader from the time I was 4 years old until I graduated High School, and amazingly no I never broke a bone.  I guess I was just blessed with strong bones because I was never one to drink milk.

My 4th broken arm was in the first grade.
Then 2 more fingers 2 other times in grade school. And then mom decided I couldn't play football in school because I was brittle >:(
So during some games with "the boys on the block, I broke 2 more fingers, and three ribs, also broke my nose.
As an adult I have broken/dis-located many more bones and joints. Arm, leg, a massive dis-location of an ankle, ribs, sternum, pelvis, back, tailbone, foot, toes, more fingers. Now I'm gettin depressed ;D

When I was six, playing kickball barefoot, broke my big toe, forgot to us the side of my foot to kick the ball.  At 12 fell ice skating broke my tail bone.  At 17 fell off boat house and broke my nose.  Then I left home, became a Cowboy, and broke lots of things, multiple times.  Horses and cattle can get you hurt.

A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

When I was about 8 years old. I broke my wrist. We were playing hide and seek and I was running on top of a wall. I jumped over some steps and there was a steel post one the other side. I hit it with my fist and broke my wrist. Then last year I shot a  16 PD nail through my ring finger. It went through the bone and broke my finger. Talk about pain full. Dale

Too many to count.  Had my fair share of incidents, both my fault and not that resulted in broken bones.  I liked the adventures and took some risks, maybe more than prudently warranted.  Since I've lived through them and learned some lessons, I think I'm qualified to say how not to do some things.

I broke my nose about a month and a half after I turned 18. I was cantering a horse around an arena and going around the second turn I tried to slow her down a little...That was when I found out that she had two speeds go and STOP. I kept going forward right into the back of her head and then all I saw was stars. What really sucked was having to move it back into place.
