grains to grams chart

I thought i'd pass along a chart that shows the grains to grams chart, it may be useful or maybe not.
 i have taken to weighting my loads, weight brass and primer, and after adding the charge and again when seating the bullets ( just looking at consistancy)
and one of my digital scales doesnt have  a grains setting, so i use this chart.

Thanks for the conversion chart.  I too have a digital scale that read only in grams.  Now, I can try it and see if consistency improves.

Thats another thing I like about my RCBS 5-0-5 , it has the chart right on the front of the scale . But it does weigh in grains .

I got a scale that weighs in grains coming in the mail, but till then i make due.
this table showed me that my Lee powder scale is very accurate if used properly, when matching up the scaled weight and checking with my digital scale after setting the tare and calibrating it. tonite i finished up 40 rounds, they all weight within 0.02 grams of each other, so thats good for consistancy. i weighed my charge 3 times and right on at 32.0 grains i cant wait to see how accurate they are.. im hoping all this weighing and checking is worth all the extra time it takes

For sure the online charts and converters are nice. the idea behind the chart is you can print it off and stick in the front of a manual.
one thing i noticed, weighing all my handloads at the different stages, is the weight of the brass, the winchesters are heavier ( this lot anyhow ) then the federals.( hold a wee bit less powder maybe ? )

No maybe about it , with the outside numbers being the same the only place for the extra brass to go is inside , removing case cap. so remember that when loading the Feds .

I just finished up reloading some mixed Winchester and Federal brass.   I kept noting the powder seemed to fill the brass higher at times, yet, when I rechecked the powder weight, it was the same.    Now I see it must have been the Win brass that caused the difference.

I've started to weighing everything, except primers, and have noted variations in weight. i sort everything now, so i get very uniform loads. different brass is thicker or thinner walled and will weigh out accordingly. and the thick brass will fill more with any specific powder charge as you found out ( as did i ), which could cause an issue depending on how deeply the bullet seats.  i didnt mic the walls but i was surprised to find that the little difference in weight made such a difference in volume. i got a difference up to 2.4 grams total.  but all my loads get sorted by total round weight and gets assigned a load number, i sure have bought alot of MTM cases, lol ...
