drop away rests

Why would you use anything else ? I bought and installed a QAD drop away. Don't have to worry about cock feather up, down or sideways. Don't have to worry about vane clearance. Don't have to worry about arrow falling off rest. The rest was very easy to set up and tune. Just asking.

How well do they shoot?  Groups better or worse?  Which model do you have?  My experiences with them have not been good but that was a while back when they first came out with them.I have always liked the Golden Key Premier and have not had a reason to try them again.

I was thinking of going to a drop away so I could try FOB's . I don't think a whisker biscuit would work, grin....

This rest shoots the same as any other type I have used (TM Hunter shoot thru and v-post) but I don't have to worry about vane clearance or cock feather up/down. I have a Quality Archery Designs Ultra Hunter (the least expensive one QAD makes). It's mounted on my Mathews Outback.

I also just switched from a Whisker Bisquit to the QAD Ultra Hunter. It is awesome. I got tired of fletching arrows - the bisquit rips them off no matter what I do or what kind of adhesive I used. The bow is grouping better than it ever has. By the way, Blazer vanes will scrape the rest if you shoot with the cock vane down.

Wow, the Whisker biscuit seems pretty popular as I too am dropping mine and replacing it with a Rip Cord fall away rest

I shoot a biscuit.  I shoot several times a week, hundreds of shots a month... Never lost a fletching... I've heard others talk about it, but I've never seen it.  I'm way more likely to hit my fletching with another arrow than anything else.

I think you're experience may be the exception, not the rule. Everyone I have talked to loves the biscuit, but they have had the same problem with torn fletchings. Hey, if it's working for you, use it! Any combination of equipment that gives you the accuracy you're looking for is a good choice. If you're taking fletchings off with other arrows, don't change anything!
