OK guys, I've been tied up with some major Honey Dos by the wife.

I got the 80 grain Barnes TSX bullets with the polymer tips. I just loaded up eight of them using Nosler data for 85 grain pellets to see what the rifle would do with the smaller pellets. My first two fouling shots were within 1" of each other. I adjusted the scope and turned the elevation nob the wrong way and was higher than the fouling shots. I shot a 3" group (big improvement over the 12" groups with the 100 grain Barnes TSX). I then adjusted the scope too far down and to the left and shot a 2" group with my last three rounds.

I found this real encouraging and I think that this rifle might turn into a shooter. I can try some serious load develpment again.

The two three shot groups had two shots about an inch or slightly less apart and then the last shot in each group was high, expanding the group in one case to 3" and 2" on the other. The two fouling shots were within an inch of each other. Is this indicative of something? Is their some additional work I can do to work on this 3rd shot geoup high, problem?

I want to thank you gentlemen for your input on this thread. I've learned a lot while working on this rifle.

Hunting and fishing are not matters of life or death. They are much more important than that.
