I was just surfing this forum and watching an Outdoor Channel turkey hunting show.....and it hit me. Picture this, a pump shotgun (mossberg for me) with the shortest legal barrel which I think is 18". Have that barrel tapped for choke tubes and put in a x-full choke. Add on an aftermarket handgun grip in place of the standard stock and put a red dot (or a handgun scope for that matter) on top of it. Look what we've created!! :eek: :shock: A poor mans pump action Thompson Center shotgun. WOOOHOOOOO!!! Now....put in an IC choke and load it with 3" magnum slugs :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

Gotta go fellas, I got...ummmmm...something I have to....errrrr... do in the shop. :wink:

Hang on tight and don't flinch! Before trying something like that, be sure to check your local regulations and laws. In some areas you may not be allowed to alter a gun like that and still use it to hunt with.

you had better make real sure you don't get too close to sight/scope. mine's an old wingmaster, still got plenty of recoil.

Ofcourse, If Alabama would allow red dot scopes on turkey hunting handguns I wouldn't have to go to such extremes. SEEEEE....it's there fault I broke my wrist!! :grin:
