I have tricked out two but along a different line from your thoughts. I am interested only in target shooting and plinking. I changed to 20" Green Mountain .920 barrels and installed Power Custom hammer and sear kits. These include new springs and shims to remove slop in the trigger mechanism. I built my own stocks in a thumbhole target pattern to fit me. One is glued up from 1/2" birch plywood, the other from 3/4" red oak with mesquite fore end tip and grip cap. I wouldn't use oak on any thing with any recoil. Also did some appearance things, radiused and polished the triggers, polished the bolts and bolt handles and then jeweled the bolts. Also sustituted nylon rod for the steel bolt buffer to quieten the clank sound of the bolt in recoil. I also drilled and tapped the magazine release and cut off a stainless allen bolt to where it would screw in to the head to make it easier to drop the magazine. Both rifles shoot consistent groups in the .4" range with Win. T-22 ammo, .6" with Rem Golden Bullets, from the bench. These rifles are very dependable. My son purchased the first rifle I did in the '70's and shot it a lot, then sold it to me a few years ago. It has never given any problems. Total cost to to do these mods was about $175 per rifle. If you wish you can spend over $1000 easily, mosty for appearances.
