Face seals for CO2 powered guns
« on: May 15, 2008, 10:40:38 AM »
I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum. I have several CO2 powered firearms and have recently discovered that the problem I have with some of them is that the face seals need to be replaced. I can get the old face seals out with the help of surplus dental picks but I can't figure out how to reseat the new seals. Any help on this would be much appreciated.

What brand and model guns do you have?  Are you referring to the tan seals the CO2 cartridge seals against?

I have two different manufacturers: two guns are Daisy and one is Gamo. The Daisy's use clear face seals and the Gamo is red. I've gotten the old face seals out but can't figure out how to seat the new seals.

this is what the man said that i got it from, we were talking about bad seals on the daisy 1200" I had the same problem with the co2 seal. I had to remove the old seal. I found some light rust under the seal. I then used a blue and rust remover to clean the rust off of the co2 seat. Next I made a crude seal with a small thin piece of rubber and reinstalled it. It works fine now with no co2 loss. Hope this helps you. My gun was out of commission for 10+ years. I finally made up my mind to fix it. Oh the years wasted....anyway, happy shooting!" also don't leave a c02 in your gun cause that will ruined seals real fast.
