I can't say I'll miss him. God will be his judge whether good or evil.

The reports I see are saying that he has an inoperable brain tumor with a 5 year survival rate estimated at single digits.  I am not one to celebrate over another's death sentence, and I try to have enough class not to wish that fate on another.  I hope conservatives and gun owners don't look like ignorant dirtballs in the next few days, it would help nothing and only make us look bad.

Treat others as you would like to be treated?

I agree but I don't think that anyone will do anything that stupid unless Washington has lost all common sense.

I'll shed no tears at his departure and let this be the sum of my discussion of him.

When I heard he has been in the Senate since '62, I got to thinking about politicians in general. Since '62 we've had a war on poverty ( welfare, public housing, etc) that has failed, and destroyed the black family, with resultant crime wave, etc. We've had war on crime, that restricted some gun rights. That failed. We've had Social Security system plundered, but of course Congress has their own system. Our immigration system has continually gotten worse. Infrastructure has deteriorated. Public school systems have fallen to the wayside. I could go on and on. The point is, I feel like they ( Congress ) have created a dynasty for themselves, like royalty, and that is their main concern.
I managed to bum myself out thinking about it.
In the news, quite a few folks said Teddy was a fighter, but he sure as heck didn't fight hard for Mary Jo's life.
Of all the dozens and dozens of Kennedy "extended family", how many have been in the armed services, or cops, or firefighters, etc.
Just a bunch of upper-crust crumbs, in my opinion.

Don't wish cancer on him... but maybe it'll at least get him out of the government.

I agree totally with Dukkllr.  I certainly don't want to have to explain any trashy remarks I made about a dying man when I kneel at the foot of the Throne.

Nothing because the conservative side has some class? Childish gloating belongs with the childish left?

I look forward to one less Kennedy in politics, for what ever reason, and will shed no tears at why and how he departs.

I wouldn't wish cancer or a stroke on a sheep killing dog. But we all have to meet our maker sometime.
