Contender Shotgun?
« on: June 24, 2003, 10:59:57 PM »
Anyone ever make a .410 long barrel, or even a 20 ga. barrel for the Contender frame?? While I'm at it, is there a factory bantam stock for the Contender like there is for the Encore?

I'm planning out a bit, but I'd like to get my son a Contender and a few barrels for a "rite of passage" gift. I'll bump up to the Encore if I have to, but I'd think he'd be better off with the lighter frame until he's bigger.

TN - TC made a 21" .410 barrel for the Contender - but the 20 GA is too much for the small frame and they offered it on the Encore only.   Not a lot of them out there, but they come up for sale sometimes, usually at a premium.   The custom barrel makers can also build you one.
Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

you can get the 410 barrels any length you want but if they are shorter then 18 inches you must have the 410/45 to keep with the fed B.S.
I was thinking getting a super 16 in 45/410 for squirrel hunting.

I have noticed that Dave Van Horn has 28gauge listed for the Contender, I've wondered if this is a reality or an oversite when making the list? Would be an improvement over the .410 but I've never bothered to ask Dave about it.
