finnish model m39

Today I had  ta look at two M39
one a
Sako
S.A mark

all the serial nr are correct . It had a stock with the square finger splice so it had o be refurbushed.
Bolt was highly polished and trigger pull very good. Sadly the barrel  interior had some pitting.
At the muzzle there is a marking 72  (behind th front sight)
Do you have an idea what it does mean?

Very dark wood with L cartouche in the wood
Barrel is in as new condition and marked  74 at the muzzle (behind the front sight)
The rifle has a Russian pu scope attached but I don't think it's original, maybe the mount is but is doesn't have any markings.
 
 
Do you know what the markings at the muzzle mean?
If you have some extra info that would be ver nice.

Are you sure that the first rifle's barrel is pitted?  I had a m27 whose barrel looked very bad, but with a lot of Sweet's 7.62, a few brushes, and a pile of patches, it ended up looking very good.  WARNING, if you use stainless steel brushes, always push them all the way through the bore, and use them sparingly since they can ruin the bore.

I'll check out the site.
The bore isn't that bad , it is more dulled. Lands are intact but the shine is gone.
We cleaned it with  Sweet 7.62 so cupper should be gone. When pushing a patch through it it doesn't feel smooth.
The bore seems a bit frosted over the entire length. We haven't shot it at the moment so we don't know about the accuracy.
The other barrel seems new, very shiny and sharp lands. It feels also very smooth when pushing through a patch.

"SA" is the Finnish Army marking.
The "D" means it was reamed in the chamber for the D-166 round.
These are the best shooters of all Mosins.
