This question is a guess for me,only because I mainly stay in the water. And while I have had an animal or two rip up a set, in the water, most times there is little disturbance. That being said,I have taken beaver the day after a coon, mink or rat --in a pocket set.Curiosity may be the attractant, the same thing may be said of a land--catch circle--doubt it would scare them in the least---but you always run into an individual or two that do not act normally. And in these cases they may react negetively to a catch circle.
If that isn't hitting both sides of the aisle--I don't know what is.
