Weighting a Synthetic stock
« on: June 03, 2008, 06:10:16 AM »
A short time ago someone here talked about putting a pound and a half of shot in a sock and putting it inside the synthetic stock.  I thought about pouring shot into the stock, shaking it down and filling the rest of the void with insulating foam to keep the shot in one place and to keep it from rattling around.  If I had to remove the stock, I could cut through the foam and pour out the shot.  I thought also of making a channel to the bolt by putting a piece of tubing down, but there is no room for it.  I'd like to put synthetic stocks on all my Handis and weight the larger calibers.  Any suggestions?  Thanks, Pete
Keep both eyes open and make the first shot good.

put a plastic bread bag in pour in shot and shake it down, tie it off. then you can just pull the bag out
to remove stock. or just pour in the shot then pour in a can when you want it out
