I had to replace my truck battery and did so yesterday afternoon. The Sears Diehard Gold that was in it was 11 (yes eleven) years old. I told this story to my Dad and it turned out that he had to replace his just the Saturday before and it was over 10 years old. I hated to buy another Gold ($109) for my 93' pickup but figure that this battery could always go in my new/used truck. I originally bought this battery for the cold cranking amps (900@0degrees) as the truck would have to sit in the open parking lot at work for 12-16hrs in the IL Winters. The new diehard gold's are rated at 850 cold cranking amps @ zero degrees.
