I was simply amazed at the number of posts I read on here tonight that were simply filled with lies... Someone on here gets a forwarded email, they read it, and since it is something that they want to believe, they accept it as fact and continue to spread the deceit. Why is this happening in the electronic age? Seriously, it takes all of two minutes of surfing to see if what was stated was true or not.
Next time you "hear" something, just do a search at
www.snopes.com. The website was started as a check on urban legends. With the popularity of things like "Clinton's Deathlist" or "McCain father's black baby," the website has expanded to enclude all those goofy emails we all get. The authors do a great job checking out these "facts" and include footnotes so you can do your own research if you don't believe what they found.
