« on: June 06, 2008, 10:14:40 AM »
I'm going to buy a Taurus 94 on monday. I don"t know which bbl length to get. 4" or 5" I would like some opinions before I plunk down my money. I will use it as a trail gun, plinker, snake shooter, etc. Thanks in advance.

I know it's past monday... so I hope you already got what you wanted.  But.  You aren't gonna find any performance differences between the two.  Get the one that balances better for you.

I bought the 4" it just seemed to balance fine. It is a petite little thing The grips are almost too small ,and I have small hands. The single action is smooth with a crisp letoff. However the double action is very hard to pull but the instruction book says you can lighten the the spring tension it looks very simple.
I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but I will try befpre the week is over.
As a side note None of the dealers I went to were able to get either the 4" or 5" I happened to find a guy on Gunbroker who had one nib not far from where I live so I went and got it. I hope this one shoots ok or I will get some other brand.
