i saw these in a book i read and i thought thy were pretty cool, can be set on high banks and covered with grass and mud,so the only thing you see is the two open end also can be wired down and a trap at each end or coni on one end and foot holed on the other one, baited with a chuck of fish slid in the wire or a piece of sheeps wool with lure on it,,,,,,,jus tcut two slits in a piece of pvc and slip some wire in the holes pull up on it leaveing a loop insind of the tube and foled end down

Its worth a shot! But its another thing to carry in! I think that you would do as well if not better carrying in a tile spade! Dig your own bank cubbies. Much more natural, and you get to pick up some bonus coon also! Double duty!

Trap setter, a tile spade or tunneling spade is a long, narrow,  bladed shovel. Next trip to a hardware store look at the shovels and you will see one. As for the mink tubes the look great. Get them out early and the mink will start checking them out.

Hey there four coil,,thanks for the reply,,I think they will be killers, put the long way along a high bank at water level covered with debree and mud and sticks baited in side with the sheeps wool, sounds like a killer to me,,Havent decided how to set it thought ,,with a 110 or a 1/1/2,,what do you think? let me know,,Dave

Trap setter, the way you intend to use your tubes sounds fine. I you use 110's you will take care of the mink and rats that pass by, but you will miss the coon, and maybe an otter if you can catch them where you are from. Make sure if you use foot holds to stake solidly because if you run into an otter they are strong. Good luck.
