What do you guys think of these rifles?  What would you pay for one in decent shape?

Rossi and Taurus make good stuff for the money I did not see any listed as a Mag version so I cannot comment on price except the books list it around 150 for the LR in excellent shape and that may be low as it was a 2000 book. The mag versions usually go for 50 bucks more so I would guess a good one used around 175 I suppose Maybe 200 That is just a guess as I do not know what they sold for new???? How much can you get it for? Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

I don't know yet what I can get it for.  I just noticed that they have one listed at an upcoming farm auction, and it kinda intrigued me.  Those Rossi pumps normally don't bring much of a price at farm auctions, but there are a bunch of guns on the sale bill, so I suspect that there will be some buyers there who will bring the prices up a bit.  Guess we'll just have to wait to see what happens.

Thanks for the input.

I have one and really like it. Its a great plinking rifle and is a really nice light weight walking around rifle. Might be a little harder to mount a scope on ot but I have a Marlin SS bolt 22 mag for that.
I think mine is about 15years old.

Mainspring :  The rossi you are refering to is themodel 59 the 22mag copy of the 62sa, 10 shot,5.5lbs., Importation discontinued 1998. 1`00% $220 / 60% $90 last suggested Retail $280, good luck they kill us here at these farm auctions, you would think they never saw a gun before, will pay more at the auction than you can go and buy brand new. :D    JIM

Taurus still makes this same model after taking over Rossi production.
Probably can get a new one for $220 and might be a stainless.
They also make it in 17HMR.

Thanks for the input everyone.  That damn rifle went for $265.  UGH.  I remember when a guy used to be able to pick up guns for good prices at farm auctions.  Now the city folk have picked up on the concept and run the prices sky high.  :x   I liked it better when bidders were required to wear Carhartts and work boots at farm auctions.  lol
