Ten days ago I wrote the Florida Attorney General about my problems with Taurus.  I also wrote the Attorney General in my home state.

I received a call from Taurus today about the sight I ordered in August.  He apologized & said the sight was on backorder, then when they shipped it, it went out Fed-X to my PO box & therefore couldn't be delivered.  He asked for a street address & said I would receive it soon.  Why did they ship it to a PO Box if they can't deliver there in the first place.  I suppose it's hard to do business in the United States if you don't speak the language used here.

SO !  The sight was on "backorder" for five months.  It would follow that Taurus shipped NO adjustable sight guns in that 5 month period because "the sight was on backorder".  Or maybe it was only MY sight that was on backorder.

The man who called was cordial.  I began to pounce on him about my problem with Taurus, and he said "I'm only calling to help resolve this", which he did.

jcn59, Thanks for posting yesterday...Had you not done that, I would probably be wondering what kind of mess I was gonna be in for.  I would, in all probability have purchased a Taurus 22 for my FIRST handgun, today.  You may have saved me some headaches.  Thanks to you posting, I sat a while and read nearly all the posts on this thread.  Quite enlightening, to say the least.  So, I am still in the market for my first revolver.

The Taurus 94 lost out.  I bought a Buckmark.  It just plain felt better in my hand.  With all the comments on how the quality of the product and service were slipping away, I doubt that a Taurus will be in my future.

It is just a darn shame for Taurus. They have an extensive line of handguns, lots of innovation. The Raging Bull is a great platform/concept for a hunting revolver. And yet quality is not there and customer service is not there.Do they realize how long it will take to win back customers even if they straighten up today ? :-\

I just had my first problem with a Taurus. I posted about the new 608 Revolver. No way could they have tested this gun as the cylinder would not rotate with shells in it.
shot placement is everything.

What a shame for Taurus and American shooters. I continue to have excellent luck with my three Taurus revolvers ( 22LR, 44 Special and 45ACP) and two Taurus semi's ( both 9mms).

Just thought I would follow up and let y’all know that the letter to Taurus referenced about 7 posts back (26 August) has not generated any response from them to date.  Guess they are satisfied with their customer relations....

Just killin' time on a rainy day; but note that to this date, I still have not heard from Taurus.  Got a Vaquero for my other gun and it worked fine out of the box.  Of course we aren't surprised, are we?  GO RUGER.  BUY AMERICAN...

I have handled several Taurus some good some bad. My experience was bad. Had a .41 mag Ti. Consistently shot 6 inches low and 6 inches to the right with an assortment of diffrent ammo. The gun was the short barrel version with fixed sights.
Sent the gun back to Taurus explained the problem, they sent it back to me with a list of things they had done none of which fixed the problem. I got rid of it.
On a side note I had traded it to a Ruger .357 sp 101. Had a similar problem with it. Sent it to Ruger. It came back shooting Point of aim with anything I ran through it. Just illustrates the difference in service!
