VLD TOOL

WHEN LOADING 6.5 SIERRA'S OR LAUPA'S  142GR,140GR 139GR ETC. DO YOU USE A VLD TOOL.TODAY I LOADED SOME 140 GR SIERRA'S AND NOTICED A SMALL AMOUNT OF BULLET SHAVINGS AT THE MOUTH OF THE CASE. THE BRASS WAS DEBURED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE USING THE RCBS CASE PREP CENTER.  SHOULD I USE THE VLD TOOL? ALL BULLETS USED ARE MATCH BOATTAILS     THANKS

Could be you're using too much neck tension as well. Bullets shouldn't be shaving if the cases are chamferred properly. Those VLD tools are OK, but they are easy to make the case mouths too thin and fragile if you go too far with it.

did you chamfer your brass?
my bullets go in with almost no pressure - I mean you could push them in with your hand, if you can not do that then you should look into different size of your neck sizer, measure the neck dia of your fired brass and measure your sized one  - ideally there should be .005 difference or so, some shooters preffer even smaller difference
