The illegal immigrants are costing us more than the war in Iraq annually.  I think it cost us over $200 billion per year.  It would only cost us $47 billion per year over 5 years to deport them.

What if?  It's not going to happen.  The government will do the same thing they did in '86 (?) and give them amnesty and citizenship.  They will also make the same promise that Kennedy (yes, the same fossil that's with us today) did then and promise that our borders will be secured and this illegal invasion will never happen again.

mexicos economy would go in the tank their main source of money is the cash you see the mexicans buying money orders in walmart to send to mexico. it brings in more than thrie oil exports.

Eisenhower did a great thing back in the 50s.  He had a bunch rounded up and put them on ships back to Mexico.  Not just across the border but he sent them all the way down to the Yucatan and released them there.  It's one heck of a long trip back to where most of them were from.  Plus the Yucatan is a missiriable tropical area.  After a few boat loads the word got out and most packed up and went home.

Just quit all social and government support for illegal immigrants.  No US citizenship for children born of illegals, severe penalties for employers, no welfare, no government housing, nothing.  They will leave of their own accord, if they cannot get something here.  The reason they came was for work, send money home, have their children automatically obtain US citizenship and use the social services.  Without this, there isn't any reason for staying.  I don't mind having to present my US citizenship or birth certificate when required to present identification.  It is only those who don't have it, that would object.  The same has happened with Social Security numbers.  My original social security card clearly states "not to be used for identification purposes", yet that is a person's military ID number now.  Try and get a drivers license without one or a credit card.  A national ID stating citizenship exists and that is called a passport.  If the government can issue social security cards, they can issue passports to only legal citizens.  Without one, you don't go to work or receive social benefits.  What is so hard about it?  Send them packing.

I don't think the Yucatan is quite as bad as it used to be, what with all the American
tourist, but it would be a start.

Deltecs nailed it!

You'd still have millions here working.....fine.....we'd do the same to get better $$ for our families.  However, the free education, assistance, food stamps, etc needs to stop.  Couple this with a national sales tax and stiff penalties to employers and we'd be in business.
Of course, that won't happen.

It's got to start in the states and cities where the illegals are getting their benefits.

Of course, we could round them all up easy enough::
