Not to flame you....but IMHO, painting your stocks red would increase your rifles accuracy the same amount as buying one of these useless locker pins. If your Encore isn't shooting as accurately as you would like, there are "things" you can do to make it shoot better. Some of these "things" are "free" as they just require some work on your part. Others, such as a trigger job, cost a few sheckels.

Bought one, tried it, made absolutely no difference.
Wasted my money IMHO.

So, Dave, gloss red or matte red?

If it's shooting low use the gloss, the smooth finish has less wind resistance and therefore will let the barrel climb more quickly during ignition,if it shoots high use the matte for more wind resistance and consequentially less barrel rise. If it is extremely inaccurate I would use a darker red, if not that bad maybe a salmon color. ;D

GrimJim has spent many days at the range with many cans of paint to make these determinations. His notebook is thicker than Ken Water's Pet Loads.....and that's only because he kept spilling paint on his notebook!  ::)

Good job Jim. (Next time.....use Latex paint)

The "nuts" part is the constant.  "Gun" is just the modifier in this case
