Cause for Celebration -- the Supreme Court Decision
« on: June 26, 2008, 08:27:53 AM »
I was delighted to learn about the Supreme Courts decision this morning.  The Supreme Court ruling gives us great cause to celebrate even if it was a 5-4 decision that should have been 9-0.  What a victory!

Blessings!

The do gooders taxed smokers and drinkers extremely heavy in order to limit individuals.  You can bet the taxation on reloading components, new weapons, and contradicting laws will all be initiated to limit access to firearms.  We cannot afford to let the momentum die now.  We must be ever vigilant and active from this point onward.

Yes, we have retained some of our Constitutional Rights, BUT there are 4 judges who will endeavor to take our rights away!  These next few months will be critical for us - all of us- to support conservatives running for ALL political offices.  Just look at the difference that Pres. Bush's appointments to the Supreme Court made - WE RETAINED OUR RIGHTS.  So go out and work, contribute, do what you can to defeat Obama and ELECT McCain.  WE need to work hard in these coming months.

best,                  nrb

Acording to the MAYOR of DC. the laws on the books that forbid the ownership of fully auto and semi-auto handguns will still be inforced, that means the 1911s sigs and any other semi-auto doesnt it???  JIM

i think its time for a little celebration.. but the cautions stated so far on this post should make us realize its not just the right to own a gun thats being challenged .. its  individual rights accross the board..everything from smoking to owning a dog is an individual right..
we would do better to realize that ,,when our neighbors individual right is being challenged.. its really an struggle between those who want to live life in individual freedom and those who believe in the utopia of a life with everything having its rule an watchdog..you call that utopia what you want but a man named marx wrote a book about it that was so convincing that it got tried ,,and of course due to human nature failed to be the utopia he had in mind..
to allow any of our leaders to allow the enemy to pick each individual right off individually is kind dumb..exactly what the enemy hopes for..
this is a formula for eventual defeat..even in out sport the hunters should not allow themselves to be separated from defence carriers .. so also fishermen might allow themself to be separated from hunters .. fishing is killing for supper,  same as hunting .. they will be next..and on an on..heaven helpus to be a little smarter than this..
im convinced the enemy does in fact think we are dumb...let us use their error against them and not be dumb..

I'm just hoping that McCain appoints a few more conservatives to the bench, if any seats open up after this election.  Such appoitments could help us greatly.  If the other side wins you should prepare for civil war.

I think the mayor of dc is gonna rant all he wants until he finds all his budget used for legal funds in class action suits against the ban, and then he's gonna whiz and moan about the cost of legal defenses; but full auto bans are still on the books from the 30s and I doubt most any ruling on the 2nd Amendment is going to open the gun shops to full auto sales.

I think this ruling spells lots of difficulties for the gun-ban cities but do not for a moment under estimate the forces of evil that would either disarm you or deny your access to defensive means and leave you helpless in the face of danger - how else can they justify a 'police state' , if not for the protection of the citizenry.  We aren't too far from that now and when you see every police agency dressing in black fatigues and swat uniforms and armed with a 20 second response time that allows them to  kick in your doors (very effective for them at 3 in the morning), you may consider that we are closer to societal oppression than ever before.  Ever notice how difficult it is to identify the police agencys these days - they all wear the same black uniforms, the same armored vests.  Confuse the citizenry and you have won.

I would expect police agencies in those cities and surrounding areas to make it difficult and embarrassing for gun owners to access legal firearms and ammo.

Even now in ny the (nee Jeffersonian) tyrannical anti-gun frothings of the bloombergs, schumers, klintons and the paterson government of the day, face the anarchy of the armed peasant - they just don't realize it as they feel so secure behind the armor of the police state they have created.  They fail to understand the nature of a free man who would rather stand for anarchy to overthrow tyranny and oppression, and the strength of those men who would rather die free than be subjugated.  JMTCW of ranting.  Mikey.

I know what you mean about the SWAT style home invasions.  When I lived in Miami several years ago, they broke into the wrong house.  The elderly couple nearly died of a heart attack and after the Gestapo figured they had the wrong house; the home owner asked about his door.  The reply was to file a complaint with the police dept..  Their daughter was a reporter for the Miami Herald; suprise! suprise! her call resulted in an official apology and a staged renovation and repair of their house by the offending officers.  Wonder what would of happened if they weren't connected?????
