I'd say "Ya dun good!"  Marlins have gone the roof price-wise around here.  I paid 350.00 for a "beater" made in 1952 couple of months ago.  Made the same year I was.  (Thanks Mom and Dad.) ;D  DP

Billy:  Not a bad deal.  Marlin 336's with straight butt stocks are getting hard to come by and the prices for all Marlin lever actions seems to be rising steadly.  I bought a Marlin 30TK 30-30 about a year ago (336) with a straight stock for under $200.00 plus tax.  Replaced the hard wood stocks with checkered walnut for another $90.00 plus.  Great rifles and the value seems to be increasing all the time.  Enjoy yours.
