USFA Bisley
« on: July 03, 2008, 08:26:50 AM »
I and a close friend both have USFA single actions with the standard grips frame.  I have no experience with the colt bisley grip.  How well do these handle recoil for the larger caliber 44 and 45s?  A new 38 special Bisley has been added to the single actions he shooting, but recoil even with the old 38/44 loads will be very mild.  I know that the Ruger bisley grip is noted for handling the recoil of hot loaded 44 and 45s well.  The colt bisley, however I believe is a smaller grip but long enough to get all my finger around.  Also we are not going to be loading a USFA single action to the same levels as a ruger. I would be interested in anyones experience with the colts versions of the bisley.

Recoil?  ???

Jeez these are Colt Clones and must be fired with loads not exceeding the old Colt's pressure limits. At that pressure level what recoil?
