Cannons a three

Here are three projects that I finished since June 1st. a small cohorne 3/4" bore a 3" Parrott rifle with a 3/4" bore(smooth) and a golf ball mortor. all barrels made from 416 stainless steel. the golf ball mortor metal work was powder coated gloss black. It hasnt been fired yet.   Jim

did you build your wheels? or did you buy them?

     They are all very, very nice.  Great looking guns!  Do you by any chance have any in-process photos? How about some close-ups of that Parrott carriage?

That's a nice collection of "furniture grade" artillery.  :D Just how I like them. No paint required.....  ;D

Beautiful!!! And stainless steel too...

I have a thing for stainless, but haven't tried to machine a barrel out of it (yet). I do use a lot of stainless hardware.

Terry, the stainless that I use is 416, the same type used for gun barrels. I was able to get several hundred pounds several years ago of various sizes up to 4 1/16" dia. The were drops from deep well pump shafting and heat treated to 110,000 yield. The stuff machines like butter. or like 12L14.  Jim
