Son back in Iraq (Home Again)
« on: June 20, 2007, 12:58:20 PM »
My oldest son is back in Iraq.

I think this is his 4th time there (middle east).

Bryan is in the operations management area this time, so, not "quite" so much danger this time.

He will be there until August of '08.

It will be so nice when both sons retire.  A little over 4 years to go

We'll be praying for you and son, our youngest made it back last fall, lots of sleepless nights, came home to a cheating wife and a divorce. He's doing well now. Those late night phone calls are scary, 3am here must be best time to call over there

We appreciate the sacrifice of your boys and yourself, God bless. Jim

God bless your son and you Chuck. I know how tough it can be at times with all the bs that we are getting from the anti-war media right now. My son Jim, has been there since Nov. We can be proud of what they are doing and hope they get home soon. Give your son a big thanks from  Mike in Colorado

Thanks for your input guys!

Makes one feel a little better about the whole situation when someone else genuinely cares.

weasel: Sorry to hear about your sons unfortunate homecoming, that would be awful.

carbine mike:  I'll mention you to my son.

Rest assured that he appreciates all supportive inputs like these.

He gets on this site once in a while.

Thanks again

Thanks for your inputs and kind words fellas!

My Daughter-in-law and their 2 children are here and have been for a week.
It's really great to see them, the grand kids grow up so fast.
They will be going to DIL's sisters house for a visit this afternoon, and then back to their home in Georgia in a week or so!

Mine too chuck. This is his second in Iraq, and he has done one in Afghanistan. ALL three tours were BACK TO BACK with almost NO home time. The last one, was 4 days after coming back to the states, they were given 15 hours to get their affairs in order, and shipped out again. They have been there 9 months with NO DATE SET for return to the states.
He is a Sgt. with the 82nd Air Borne and is OUTSIDE THE WIRE, in Baghdad, so it ain't very comfortable with him, or us at home. With the FEW conversations we have, the stress is obviously taking it's toll.
God bless you and yours.
Dee,

Thanks for all your inputs fella's!

It really "does" matter that others genuinely care!

I find myself (lots of times) saying a little prayer for our servicemen (all of them) several times throughout the day, not just when it's bedtime.

God bless all of those who serve and also those who have served!

Tell your son that Ricky from South Carolina says thanks for his service hope he returns soon.

Bryan got home to Ft Stewart Ga, on 6/28/08.

Glad he's on this side of the pond now.

Hopefully I can sleep better now.

Thanks for all the kind words and prayers.

Thanks to all that have served our greatest country in the world, they who have served are who have made America the greatest land on earth.

Looks like our Marine is headed back, dang if he didn't get out and enlist in the Nat'l Guard, so now he'll be headed over in March. Sure seems like he wants to go back, but you hear that a lot from the guys that have been there.

Hey guys : I have bought some stuff to send to a soldier who is in the sandbox; some to use and some to pass around for morale purposes. If you can give me an address and mailing info I will send it off to them and they can use what they want and re-disperse the rest... stuff I understand that can come in handy and make it a little better..
thanks.. I would greatly appreciate the chance to do that little something to help...
