Handi rifle and Smith Enterprise sight?

Ok I've read the sticky about sights but it's for BC and Target models. I wanted to make sure it'll fit my 45/70 handi rifle. To add the globe sight on the handi I'll need the Williams short ramp and the Lyman globe + inserts. That right? Love to see someone's handi with this setup.

The Smith sight will fit but the lowest Lyman 17A is .404" tall, add the 1/8" shotgun shorty ramp under it and it may work. One issue is the front sight mount hole, if your is a 6-48, you have it made, but the 3-48 screw they use now and on older barrels might not be best mounting for a globe sight on top of the ramp.

Thanks for the clarifiaction on the Smith sight and the help on the front globe. Might have to do something different on it. Maybe a Marbels  front sight on the Williams ramp.
