E-mailed Remington about the Handi line...
« on: July 12, 2008, 10:11:33 PM »
I decided to express my opinion to Remington about the Handi Rifle line.  I told them since it ain't broke, they don't need to 'fix' it!  I told them that the folks who buy these guns like them pretty much the way they are - made in USA, but that there might be room for a 'premium' version with all steel furniture.  I also suggested that they might want to consider some additional chamberings, and suggested that they look here for ideas.

They even responded, and said that their current plans are to modernize the production machinery, and keep them made in the US.  No word on additional chamberings or anything else.  I guess there is still room for hope, though.

Time will tell.  ::)

well people sending emails and phones calls cant hurt to much in helping them making up their minds, only thing i would hope they do if they are  fixin a problem is make the barrels interchangable ,more then they are, i know you cant fix the ones already out here ,but  the new ones , could be a better  fit ,so you could just order the barrel  and caliber you wanted and  just have it sentto you, thanks for the post,

With the newer machinery, that might be possible.  Sure hope so, would be nice to order barrels and not have to send everything off to wait like an expectant father to get it back.  Still waiting for my two receivers to come back with new 357 barrels and tupperware stocks. :'(   Hope they don't forget the trigger jobs!  DP.

The only thing broke is the ejectors.  Hope they can change them back.
just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they are not watching you
