08 catalog by H&R

while looking thru the 08 H&R catalog, I noticed a couple of magnum cartridgte listings.  While of no particular interest to me, I haven't read much about any expereince with these calibers in an H&R from this group.   Did they get beyond the printed page, or were lost in the Big Green shuffle?   I also saw a few more chamberings with the cinnamon lami thumbhole stock, though blued, not stainless like the ,45-70.  Any thoughts on the thumbhole butt stock?  Looks to be comfortable, but I have found other versions seem to have bulges in awkward places.  They show cinnamon and camo laminated thumbhole configurations.   They look to be the same, just different layering..??

I have 3 of the t-hole lams, two on factory guns, one that I bought on ebay over a year ago, they feel and work great if you're right handed, but they don't offer a left hand version....yet, Boyd's makes them, maybe they'll do a left hander for the many that have asked for them.

The Handi-Mags never made it to final endurance testing, they were canceled in January due to insufficient pre-orders by distributors, Marlin didn't want to invest the $20k it would have taken for the final testing when distributors wouldn't commit to them. I had a 7mm mag on order last November, was real disappointed they dumped them.
