rem 1100 lw whats it worth
« on: September 10, 2008, 12:04:24 PM »
hey guys i have a 20 ga 1100 lw  2 3/4 only. i think its from around 1973 or 4 . i have the factory stocks the forarm has a little hairline crack starting but not the whole way through . so i put a set of speed feed brand checkerd black stocks on it. the pistons are good. put a new oring on . it has a little pitting on the reciever . the barrel is 27 in from the end of the reciever with a vent rib and a fixed mod choke . there is some discoloration to the barrel but still blue . shoots fine with 1 oz loads but will not cycle 7/8 feild loads . any clue what its  worth

Not nearly what they once upon a time sold for. I noticed an almost as new 12 gauge 1100 at the gunstore the other day listed at less than $250 and it wasn't moving. In the condition you indicate you'd be hard pressed to get $200 for it around here dunno about where you are but here the price on 1100s has hit rock bottom.

That's what I'd do with it. I sure was tempted by that 12 gauge and had it been a 20 I'd have bought it but I really have no need. Used to be I could get that for an 870 and an 1100 would bring $150-$200 more. Not these days not here at least.

where i am, they go for $350 or so. have seen some in nice shape go for $400. you may want to try selling it on the internet, and maybe find someone from someplace where they sell for more.
