It has been awhile so I thought I would buy everyone a drink to get this place going again.

IntrepidWizard,  Glad you made it to the saloon. I was afraid that I was going to be drinking alone.

Could you tell me what a Hot Mull is?

This sounds like the place to find a shot of "red eye" in a dirty glass.

I will take you up on that S.B.  A cup of black coffee would go down just fine. Might be riding my steel horse with wheels past your settlement & on up to the Mega Sport now that it is warming up some.

Well this forum is dead!

Hot Mull... sounds like Swedish Glug, Port wine mixed with straight alcohol and spices, served warm.

Make mine a root beer float; Hires Root Beer and any good vanilla ice cream. I've poured my share of Jack Daniels in the past and couldn't get the hang of not getting a headache. Guess I liked it better than it liked me. However, I will gladly buy a round for the house, just make mine as prescribed, thank you.

Jack's strong enough to kill anything sick and wrong, in the glass. What are you worried about, your drinking poison.

The last time I drank rumplemintz, was when I found out my wife was pregnant with our first child. My so called friends took me out to celebrate. I started out with a few beers, the they asked me what kind of shot I wanted. I said "rumplemintz". I did the shot and they said do another one, so I did and they said do another one, so I did ( are you sensing a pettern here?) anyway after 7 do another ones I started washing it down with dramboui (spelling?). Needless to say I could hardly stand up, but I was invincible on the pool table. Banks, combos, eight ball on the break, I won 13 games in a row before I left. All the dramboui I drank was free from winning the games, people were getting ticked off because they thought I would be an easy mark as drunk as I was. Anyway as you can probably guess, after I got home I got really sick. The next night I had to take the missus out to kiss her behind, she wasn't happy that I was over served the night before and literally stumbled in at about 3 A. M. So we went to the movies. All went well until we left and at the door they were handing out mints! Just the smell of that peppermint almost made me hurl and of course my wife was sucking on one all the way home. I think she did it on purpose.

I'm having "Filthy Martini's" tonight...   :)

A "Filthy Martini" is a "Vodka Martini" with a caperberry + teaspoon of the brine - instead of the olive (in a "Dirty Martini).

For folks that enjoy "pickled" items - the caperberry is well worth a try.

Cheers~!  ;D
