Anyone using a Encore stock on a G-2?

I've researched and have found something called a grip chip?  It is a plastic wedge that allows a Encore stock to be used with a G-2 frame?  Does anyone use this or have any experience with it and if so what do you think?  I would like to put a Encore youth stock on my G-2 for my son to use this year.  Thanks for any help.

I have the grip chip and it works well for me.  I'd buy another one.
