Simmons Pro-Hunter Pistol Scopes

Has anyone tried out the Simmons Pro-Hunter pistol scopes on Contender / Encores?  What was your experience?  Any problems?

I am looking at the Simmons Pro-hunter variable 2-6x - seems like a pretty good deal at around $120, saves $50 over the Bushnell Trophy.  In the past I had heard very good things about Simmons pistol scopes, but sice then those models have been replaced with these.  The classic dillema of trying to balance economy and quality.  I have been buying a few barrels lately and have ended up long on barrels and short on scopes so I was considering the Simmons for service on some of the middle of the road callibers - 22 hornet, 30-30, 243 Win, 7-08 etc not on the really big boomers - I use TC, Burris, and Leopold for those.

As always all opinions welcome. :D

I haven't tried one on my T/C,but did run one on my Smith 357.It seemed to do a great job,no failures at all.The scope has seen sevaral hundred,if not a thousand rounds.I just tweak the mounts once a year,as I always do on all my scopes, and test the point of impact, prior to shooting.I believe you will be pleased with the savings.

I have a 4x simmons that i had on a 223  and now it is on a 44 mag .I have had no problems with it so far. It has been shot a lot on the 223 but has had less than 200 rounds on the 44 mag.
