I'll be putting a Nikon Omega BDC 250 on it, Mac used one on his 45-70 and it worked good out to 300yds. Dunno about varmints for me, most likely just paper considering what little  hunting I do!! ::) Knight0334 uses his BC for groundhogs tho!! ;D

That's a nice looking gun.  What stock did you switch too?  H&R or aftermarket?  Mine is on the way, can't wait to get it.

There's a pic of the stock at the bottom of reply #25, it's the camo version of the same stock, but it has a factory fitted Decelarator pad on it, a better match than the 7x57 I had it on.  ;)
