Access to a collection, What are they worth
« on: August 04, 2003, 11:28:38 AM »
I can buy the following collection:
P-220 in 45ACP, all stainless, P-226 in 9mm stainless, P-229 in 9mm stainless, P-239 in 9mm, stainless and a P-232 in 380ACP  in stainless.

What are these guns selling for. All appear unfired or very little firing. All come in Blue Sig boxes with full paperwork.

Another question. The Stainless guns say "stainless" on the slide, but they are indeed black finished. Is this normal or a special coating? The P-220 and the 232 are "silver" stainless.

Anything you could tell me about these guns would be appreciated.

It depends on who is selling them, but if they are in like new condition and are in the boxes with paperwork, all of those would go for about $500 around here (in stock form).

Have you tried looking at www.gunsamerica.com to see what folks are asking for these?

I'd say that if you can get this collection for $2500 of lower, pay the cash, take the SIGs and run.  Don't give the guy a chance to change his mind.

You may want to have local law enforcement run the SSN's before you buy anything like this from an individual.
