The short legged species of whitetail are much easier to hunt and stalk. Sneaking up on them in deep snow is a snap  ;D

The one buck was so short if he would have had stainless steel balls, he could have run down the road and been called Sparky.

Oops...I missed this post.

carbineman I like it.

Plenty of wood for the eye. It would be grand to live in a place where each piece has been put into place by yourself.

A guy needs high ceilings for all the taxidermy work for sure. Keeps kids and other hands from touching them.
My mother was snooping my bear rug out when I first hung it on the wall and for some reason she grabbed the tongue and pulled it out of the mouth.

Thanks bearfat. We really like our homestead as we are practicing armchair survivalists, we pride ourselves in making something out of whatever we have. We heat the place with wood only and keep our utility costs to just electric bill only$50-$60 per month. I also built a detached garage that looks similar.

Click the button next to the "W" when composing the thread. It will insert a couple [ img ] brackets. In between them, you need to place the direct web link to the picture.
