dating marlin 30as

I got this marlin 30 30 from a guy at work and not sure when it was made. I looked at the post on the top of this page and it it makes me think it is newer than 1990 because of the serial #. This is only my second marlin and I dont know alot about them. I got a 1895 GG 4570 a few months ago and started to get the marlin bug so when a guy at work said he was selling his 3030 I bought it.Hear is the searial# 08025728. On  the barrel it says" micro groove barrel " .It doesnt have the marlin eye on the stock like my 45 70. It is a model 30as in 20" barrel. Any help would be great thanks

Thanks for dating it for me.I paid 300 buck for it and it looks as new as my guide gun I bought a couple months ago not a nick or scratch on it.He still had the original box of ammo he got the day he picked up the gun and he had only shot it 10 times. I tried to get it for 250 but he wouldn't budge
