Made a set of grips for my Contender....

I love working with wood and love my contender so I thought that I might combine the two. Turned out pretty good for the first attempt I guess. Constructive criticism is welcome. Thanks for looking. Bodock grip and Redbud forearm, I ran out of Bodock and this is the closest that I had to match it. I still need to put a few more coats of finish on it. This is my new .22 Super 14 barrel with a Simmons Reddot, shoots great. Thanks for looking

LOOKS GREAT! I admire you guys that can make stocks...I wish I had that talent. I would round off that long sliver on the bottom of the frame end of the forend (looks like it might rub some blue off your frame)......But that's just personal preference. GREAT JOB!

Thanks Black!! It does take a while to make them but it isnt as hard as it seems. Those little wings actually have a space between the frame, so it will never touch the frame. Thanks for the comments!!

Pickwick, very nice! As a wannabe woodworker, kinda makes me want to try it myself. How did you 'hog out' the inside of the grip, forstner bit and chisel?

Keith havn't you heard guns are less trouble than women. Unless a woman reads this and has a gun then they are more trouble.
