I use one of my K22s to take rabbits, squirrels, coon, ground hog, and anything else, under 40 pounds, I can manage to get a shot at.

chipmunks, red and grey squirrels, and coons
either Taurus M94 open sights, or a buckmark with red dot
though I also use either a savage bolt with a 3-9x32 or a .25 caliber air rifle I use.

Largest game was a bobcat...typically grouse and rabbits.

I have a modified Ruger 22/45...custom sights, 1911 grip mod, complete action rework, etc.

I also have a beretta neos 4.5" barrel with red dot as well as a 6" with a 2x20 scope.

I hunt tree-rats and bunnies with mine.

My favorite squirrel gun is my Ruger Mark II Gov't Competition model with 2x scope:

My favorite bunny gun is my Browning 5.5 Target with 1x, 30mm red-dot sight:

I hunt varmints around the house, groundhogs, skunks, crows, etc, along with rabbits, squirrels, and the ocassional grouse. I typically carry either a Ruger Single Six in 22LR or .22 magnum, or lately, a Ruger Mark III Hunter with a Red Dot optic.  Any quality, accurate rimfire works great. Ammo is cheap, and easy to find the most accurate in your gun. I like the challenge and marksmanship training as well..

Ruger MkII Gov't Model, open sights, Remington Sub-Sonics or CCI Standard Velocity for squirrel (red and grey), wabbit, chipmunk, skunk, raccoon, coyote if close enough, chucks, and a couple of turkeys (yep, and the neighbor's free range chickens too) etc.  As with S.B. - most anything I can get a shot at under 40 lbs. Ruger Single Six in .22 LR with open sights.

Ruger MkII Government with open sights.

Both guns shoot CCI Stingers very well.... ;)
