.425 Westley Richards
« on: August 06, 2008, 02:42:22 PM »
It’s been well documented that many German’ designed cartridges were adopted by English’ gunmaking houses and renamed with the gunmaker's name.

So here’s a question for those in the know, I’ve read that August Schuler in 1904 designed the cartridge that Westley Richards adopted as a proprietary cartridge in 1909 – that cartridge being the .425 Westley Richards.  Is this true?

Thanks,
Jim
