was thinking about buying a 4'' taper barrel ruger, are these pretty accurate government target will be hunting gun looking for something a little lighter to carry in coat

Yes. Probably as accurate with standard sights as you will need...whether you're just puching paper or rolling tin cans for kicks. I own an anniversary model MK 4...it's a lot of fun to shoot when you just feel like plinking.
