I don't hunt much with my 17 HMR, how ever it is a very important part of my get ready program for the fall. I use it to shape up my field stance shooting. I sit, stand, kneel, and twist to shoot. I practice rifle control and trigger squeeze, and proper breathing. By going through a couple boxes of ammo at 25 yards on a 2 " target I get tuned up pretty good. As with anything you practice you want it to happen without thinking about it. I have also noticed the 22 lr spin target made of 1/8 steel use to just get bumps in it. Now the 20 grn TNT will make a hole or at least a much deeper dent. So the Hornady ammo is either tougher or the cartridge is. I use to shoot the same cartridge and bullet and they wern,t as pentrating as the new ones. Pretty awesome little varmint cartridge. Buckfever
